Obituary
Ira Eunice Hall, age 76, of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Lewis Gale Medical Center after a short illness. Mr. Hall was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and was retired from Centel Telephone Company with 35 years of service as a lineman. He was born in Franklin County on July 13, 1928, a son of the late Grover and Mary Alice H. Hall. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald W. Hall; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Noah and Nannie R. Turner; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth D. Turner. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lois Turner Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brady G. and Polly Hall, Sidney A. and Betsy Hall, Alvin D. and Virginia Hall, Judy W. Hall; sister, Sally A. Sink; brothers-in-law, Noah G. Turner and wife Barbara of Crescent, Pa., Larry C. Turner and wife Jean of Richmond, E.T. Turner of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Rebecca W. Turner of Rocky Mount; numerous nieces and nephews; very special friends, Kevin, Shelly and Hailey Renee Short, Pittsville. Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount Baptist Church 2 p.m. Monday with the Dr. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
