Ms. Nellice Dean Hall Hubbard, 86, of Cheval Trail, died Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
She was born on January 6, 1936, in Franklin County, Virginia, to the late Raymond and Mary Ella Barbour Hall.
She graduated from Franklin County High School Class of ’54, retired from DuPont in Martinsville, Virginia, and from Macy’s in Roanoke, and was of the Christian faith. She loved watching HGTV, enjoyed reading, especially to children, and loved her cats. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-niece and great-nephews where she resided.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bunny Hundley (O’Neal), Violet Perdue (Wayne), Mike Hall, Bobby Hall (Sandra), Darnelle Garrett (Jimmy), and Witchell Hall; a niece, Jaime Garrett; a nephew, Steve Hundley; brothers-in-law, Glenwood Hall, Larry Morris, and John Altis; and her beloved cat, Newman.
Survivors include three sisters, Rita Hall, Gayna Sue Altis, and Patsy Morris all of Rocky Mount, Virginia; sister-in-law, Linda Hall of Rocky Mount; special cousins, June Harris of Mount Sidney, Virginia, and Joyce Fuller of Rocky Mount; and a multitude of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to her physical therapist, Stacie Graham for all of her help and care to Ms. Dean.
