He retired from Duke Energy and was a United States Navy Veteran.
Mr. Dyar was a longtime member of Welcome Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon from 1958-2015. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving is a daughter, Amanda Gunter (Larry) of Easley; a son, Charles “Tim” Dyar (Crystal) of Central; two sisters, Ann Horton of Pickens and Dot Johnston of Central; three brothers, Joe Dyar of Clemson, Frank Dyar of Central, and Woody Dyar of Clemson; four grandchildren, Blake Dyar (Brittany), Brandon Dyar (Kelsey), Caleb Gunter (Anna Grace), and Hannah Gunter; also surviving is one great grandson, Johnny Dyar.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and David Dyar
